Jersey Boys - Review!

I apologise for how insanely late I am writing this review, I have had absolutely no time to sit down and go through my notes on this amazing show! I went to watch Jersey Boys at the New Wimbledon Theatre last week and had the best time!

The storyline follows the way in which the beloved band The Four Seasons was formed and the hardships that they faced along the way. At first I did find myself a bit confused but once I settled into the way the story was told I found myself enjoying the show so much more! The show is kind of uneventful in the fact that there is no explicit climax or plot point leaving you eager to find out more, it was more documentary style, however I really loved this! I don’t think that I was the target audience for this production but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The one thing I cannot fault about this production is their stunning vocals and music. Carlo Boumouglbay played Tommy Devito and his voice was so beautifully smooth and so lovely to listen to. Luke Baker played Frankie Valli and his vocal range was INSANE. He hit every single high note with such ease. He absolutely carried the show.

The set rarely changed but this was done very effectively! I also have to mention the ensemble who were so talented and versatile in all their parts.

Jersey Boys is on tour all around the UK so definitely go and see it if you can!!
