Robin Hood - Review!

On the 9th of december I was fortunate enough to attend the press night for the panto Robin Hood at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

I cannot emphasise enough what a perfect panto this was for both adults and kids!! It had adult humour as well as funny jokes and tricks for the children. every single person in that room as laughing from start to finish.

Robin Hood and his Merry Men were played by Ashley Banjo & Diversity, the inclusion of their dancing truly added so much value to the show, levelling up the show from basic panto for kids to a show that is enjoyable for everybody. I found my jaw dropping every time they came on stage as the stunts and tricks they pulled were out of this world!!!

I have to mention Pete Firman who played Will Scarlet as he was hilarious! There was not a moment when he was on stage in which the audience wasn’t bursting with laughter. Such a lovable character and absolutely owned the stage.

Overall the entire cast was amazing, I particularly loved the little impromptu lines which made some cast members break character. This had me cackling as I watched them try and compose themselves.

I must say though be warned that if you are sat in the first few rows as I was, I would highly recommend a puffer jacket to cover yourself with as you may get a little wet!!

Unfortunately there’s only a week left of this incredible panto!! Please go and get tickets if you can as I had such a great time!!
